Warman Twin Loco Hot Rail Humbucker Pickup. Full twin coil blade / rail humbucking pickup that fits in place of a standard single coil *. 4 wire so can be tapped as a hot single coil. Chrome rail version.
High end replacement humbucking pickup putting out a huge 9.86 Henries and measuring a resistance of 14.1k this is one of our most powerful upgrade pickups.
Basically its a super overwound humbucker stacked and squeezed into a housing the size of a standard single coil. The two coils side by side produce a huge amount of power and tone with no loss of mids or highs with ooddles of bottom end.
Our own unique 4 way wire output enables you to wire it up as a powerful single coil, or unleash both coils either in series or parallel for some serious tonal options.
Suitable for use in neck, middle or bridge positions this is a perfect partner to our Warman Dominator if you wanted either a fat Strat type look but with far more tonal combinations of a H-S-S set up.
Being a blade type pickup it can be used on a wide variety of string spans and in either bridge, mid or neck as the blades are 62mm wide.
The Twin Loco is also popular with many bass guitarists. Although primarily a hot rail for 6 strings we have had loads of bassists use these to rump up the thump.
* Please note although a widely known fact that Tele neck pickups are not standard size single coils but are smaller and differ to Strat type single coils for the avoidance of doubt to the uninformed Twin Locos will not fit in place of a standard Tele neck pickup without modification to your guitar.

Spot on, does exactly what I wanted.Its not just a melt your face pick up, it rolls off to clean up really smoothly, knock the tone off and its sounds real bluesy.
split it and it has a great tone
most of all, it’s articulate and you still hear the string separation even with the dirt rolled up.

Very high ‘big name brand’ build quality. Good quality connector cable used. In the neck position this pickup has as a really big, warm, rounded, thick timbre that beefs-up the guitar’s sound from a single coil. The sound was good with 250KΩ pots, but works best with 500KΩ pots. We experimented with capacitors and found a quality .022μf (600v) polypropylene capacitor works best. In the neck position it has a bold, thick sound even with 9 gauge strings, on both Fender and Gibson scale lengths. Output is 274 mV and the DC resistance is 13.56 KΩ at the end of a 2 meter cable (what your amp sees), with 14.34 KΩ at the end of pickup wires. This is a real upgrade if you want a thick sounding neck humbucker from what was a thin, jangly single coil in the neck, without having to route the instrument. If you want a hot single-coil that’s humbucking, check out the Peacemaker instead. This pickup’s really recommended.

Hot damn! I had one of the PJ basses with a J bass spacing and it did fit in there in place of the bridge pickup.
I have added a series/parallel switch of the coils together.
In parallel mode it sounds very close to a normal single coil j-bass pickup, in series it is a roaring beast 🙂
Pairs nice with the p-bass pickup with same phase, i.e. black wire to the ground, white is the signal. second coil red to ground in parallel or to the red one in series, green – output.

I thought Id try one for a bass, but i didnt do that. Instead i donated this one with another p-up that also seemed attractive for bass… the donation was for a *strangled’ sounding guitar. OMG that was a good move – the guitar was sounding quite epic both live and recorded. Bang for buck these Warmans are absolutely amazing!
