Description

A pair of Warman Tennessee Revival chrome high quality humbucking pickups. These are based upon our original chrome humbuckers that received such rave reviews from customers.
Each pick up has six adjustable pole pieces.
Neck pick up is a nice mellowed 7.11 k-ohms with a warm bluesy inductance of 3.84 Henries. String spacing on this pickup is overall width of 48mm. To save you grabbing a calculator thats’ 9.6mm between the pole pieces.
Bridge pick up is a powerful 13.14 k-ohms with a punchy inductance of 7.87 Henries. Overall string spacing is 51.5mm which gives 10.3mm between pole pieces.
Mounting springs and screws will be included Free Of Charge as will the cream mount rings.
These now have a 4 wire ( well 5 if you count the ground wire ) output so can be coil tapped and other funky stuff.
Wiring diagrams are available on request.
Warman pickups use ceramic magnets as these are even brighter than Alnico V or III, and in higher output pickups to help counterbalance the treble lost by the higher resistance (remember higher resistance means more midrange, but less highs).
To give you some idea of the tone and power of these pickups here’s what rocket3man had to say about the gold versions, built on the same chassis, that he bought from us ………
“I got 2 gold humbuckers off you recently on ebay.We talked about modding and coil tapping.I have managed to get them open and soldered tags and re-seal them with melted candlewax in a hot spoon!
They are now fitted to my Aria Pro II PE with coil taps and I have to tell you they sound fantastic. I don’t have much comparison admittedly but they are streets better than the Duncan Designed which were on there before, and much better than the GFS Dream 180 and Alnico Zebras which I have tried before. To my mind the coil taps give brilliant options of clarity and listenability which humbuckers generally don’t.
With or without coil taps they are full bodied, rich, balanced and harmonic.I have some Maxon U2000s on an old Greco EG800 LP and those actually are a bit more powerful but they somehow don’t chime like yours.”
Overall weight of both pick ups is approx. 280g
The face of each pick is covered with a clear protective film which needs to be removed prior to playing. Don’t laugh, it’s happened before 🙂

I bought a set of these to replace the muddy sounding Gretsch humbuckers on my cheap and cheerful jet club electromatic. They have fantastic clarity and definition and are perfect for the clean tones I mainly use and have totally transformed the guitar into a thoroughly usable gigging instrument. Highly impressed and would recommend to anyone.
