Josi again has been working away at expanding the range Warman Guitars has to offer and has come up with a fantastic humbucker sized P90 that is a straight drop in fit to your existing humbucker mount rings so you can have the clarity and big fat single coil sound with the minimum of modifications. And because you are buying direct we are able to do a matched pair for around the same price as others are offering one for.
A gold plated metal housing surrounds the black pickup face with six adjustable gold plated pole pieces. The neck has a string span of 50mm across the poles and the bridge measures 52mm across the pole pieces.
Bridge is wound to 7.68 kOhms with an inductance of 4.23 Henries
Neck is wound to 7.39 kOhms with an inductance of 4.18 Henries
You can also see the frequency response graph plotted for these gold P90 humbucker size pickups, our HBAP90. Please note the slight eddy current effect in the pickup happening just before the main super elevation of its main frequency peak. This graph helps explain a little what makes so many players just Love the tone of our HBAP90.
Both come with nice long leads for wiring up LP and SG style and are supplied with height springs and screws.
These 90’s are opposed wound so that when you are using both together they operate in hum cancelling / humbucking mode.

Bought these to put in a Vintage VS6 (SG copy) in place of the original Wilkinson humbuckers. They are exactly what I expected: P90s, which are just a bit smoother than the ceramic P90s I’ve used on an LP copy in the past. Nice and vintage-y!

I bought these Gold HBAP90 Humbucker sized P90 pickups to replace the rubbish humbuckers on a Hofner Verythin re-issue I picked up some time ago. I’ve always liked P90’s since owning a Godin with Seymore Duncan P90’s years ago. I have to admit I didn’t have high hopes, how good could a £45 pair of P90’s be? I figured they would be an improvement but wasn’t prepared for the way these transformed the tone on this guitar – solid warm bass, rich chiming mids, smooth but crisp treble and higher output then the old humbuckers. And the gold highlights add a touch of class to compliment the black fittings on this guitar. Remarkable. Thanks I am now a Warman convert.
