I was looking for an affordable pickup upgrade for my epi lp studio. Not only do they provide quite an esthetic enhancement to the guitar but they also sound great compared to the stock pickups. Fitted those with my own made Jimmy Page wiring. They deliver much more than expected for inexpensive pickups. The neck pickup cable is quite short though. A few more centimeters would make an easier fit.

Saved my old Vantage Les Paul from just hanging on the wall. For years I never was satisfied with the pickups I put in this guitar (and there was a bunch of). Dry the sound is very acoustic like (chambered top) but with the amp it was always a little dull and not very defined.
These pickups changed it all. It seems they take this guitar to a whole new level. A wonderful clean sound now, bell like, warm but clear and defined. The gain sound is now very creamy and satisfying.
I’m very happy this happened, because this was my first useful guitar I bought (almost forty years ago).

I’m very chuffed with these pickups. Warm and clear. Individual strings stay clear even with fairly heavy distortion. Like a previous reviewer I bought mine to replace the over-bright pu’s in a 45 yo Vantage Ghost. (LP Junior. Very brown!). The clean sound is fat with enough bite. Plenty of sustain too. Although I haven’t yet done a comparison I think these easily keep up with my Gibson LP Trad & SG.
Free delivery too.
A sticker or sheet with basic wiring would be nice for numpties like me.

I had these installed in a Firefly FFSP and WOW they sound incredible. Aside from the fact that they look awesome, they have such wonderful tone. When played clean, they have a great full sound. With some crunch added in, I think, is when they really shine. Lots of bite while also being super clear sharp. They even handle some higher gain distortion fairly well. I primarily use them for blues and classic rock and I think they stack up very well with the more expensive stuff you’d get on a Gibson guitar. They took my Firefly from what was a decent though cheap guitar to something I would put up against a guitar many times its worth.
