Josi again has been working away at expanding the range Warman Guitars has to offer and has come up with a fantastic humbucker sized P90. It’s a straight drop in fit to your existing humbucker mount rings. You can have the clarity and big fat single coil sound with the minimum of modifications.
A bright chrome metal housing surrounds the black pickup face with six adjustable pole pieces. The neck has a string span of 50mm across the poles and the bridge measures 52mm across the pole pieces.
- Bridge 7.73 kOhm with an inductance of 3.65 Henries
- Neck 7.64 kOhm with an inductance of 3.38 Henries
You can see the frequency response graph plotted for the HBAP90. Note the eddy current effect in the pickup. This happens just before the main super elevation of the frequency peak. This graph helps explain a little what makes so many players just Love the tone of our HBAP90.
Both have long leads for wiring up LP and SG style guitars.

Using neck and bridge together they operate in hum cancelling / humbucking mode.

I brought a set of these for a Squire Jagmaster, the original humbuckers that were in it sounded very muddy.
These absolutely transformed it, they sound fantastic and I would defiantly recommend
I had both the neck and bridge P90s in the guitar for a while which worked very nicely, but in the end I swapped the bridge out for an Epiphone humbucker I had laying around just because I wanted more output from the bridge (not because I didn’t like the bridge P90, I am now using it in another build)
But the Warman neck P90 is absolutely lovely and sounds fantastic clean or overdriven

I fitted them to a very uninspiring Ibanez GAX 30 replacing the stock humbuckers. After a bit of fettling (the GAX30 is routed quite tight to the original pickups), they have transformed the guitar and the sound has so much more character it is like having a new instrument. Thanks for the great service. I am so pleased I found them.
