Description
4 position Tele pickup selector switch to increase the tonal switching options on your guitar, typically found on Tele type guitars, Supplied with free black switch tip and mount screws.
Typical wiring options will give you the bridge on its own, bridge and neck in parallel ( standard Tele ), NEW bridge and neck in series ( effectively a really wide spaced humbucker twin coil ) and also the bridge pickup on its own. Please see the attached diagrams and drawings that explain how the switch works and an option of how to wire it up.
These switches are a little wider than the standard wafer type switches at around 15mm and extend down into the control cavity at least 35mm, this depth will increase once you attach wires. If your guitar has copper shielding in the control cavity it might be worth putting some insulation tape over it around the area the switch mounts to avoid accidental shorting out. Also please note that the throw of a 4 position switch can be a little longer than the standard 3 way Tele levers so you may need to extend the switch cut out slot on your cover plate.
