Single Coil Pickups from Warman Guitars

A new way to shop for quality single coil pickups for upgrade, custom build or project guitar parts

Matched set of 3 Propoganda single coil pickups in white.

Please note this is a proper matched set of 3 pickups, each different, not just a set of three of the same pick up that you may find on offer cheaply elsewhere. Each pickup is designed for specific location and tone. Dimensions etc are as below.

Neck Pickup. String span is 48mm, with the pole pieces 9.5mm apart. Resistance is 5.7 k-ohm. Inductance is 1.98 Henry. Leads are yellow.

Middle Pickup. String span is 50mm with the pole pieces 10mm apart. Resistance is 6.2 k-ohm. Inductance is 2.61 Henry. Pickup is reverse wound and the magnet is polarity opposed to neck and bridge for true hum cancelling in switch positions 2 and 4. Leads are red.

Bridge Pickup. String span is 52mm with the pole pieces 10.4mm apart. Resistance is 6.8 k-ohm. Inductance is 2.8 Henry. Leads are blue.

By way of comparison a 1972 Strat pickup has an inductance of 2.2 average and a Noiseless has an inductance of 2.5 so these are a bit hotter with fuller mids and bass.

Warman pickups use ceramic magnets as these are even brighter than Alnico V or III, and in higher output pickups to help counterbalance the treble lost by the higher resistance (remember higher resistance means more midrange, but less highs).

HOT Tele style chrome pick up for neck position.

Output is hotter than a standard Tele neck pup. The inductance of a standard Tele neck pup is around 2.5 Henry whereas these are quite a bit more powerful at an average of 3.5 Henry. For those obsessed with resistance these are 6kohm but more attanetion should be given to the inductance figure as that gives a better indication of power than the resistance figure. Want something a little unusual ? As this pick up doesn't have individual pole pieces it's possible to mount it in the middle, or at the bridge position. HOT Tele style pick up for the bridge position.

Output is significantly more than a standard Tele bridge pup. Standard pups have an inductance of 2.9 Henries whereas these HOT bridge pups have an output of 3.56 Henries so expect more mids and lows from this whilst retaining clear highs. Supplied with mounting screws.

String spacing is an overall reach of 53 mm but please remember to measure your strings on the same angle that a Tele pickup fits.

This is the perfect companion to our Warman Stealth humbuckers as either a neck or mid position pickup, although would work equally as well in the bridge position. Dimensions etc are as shown left.
